Japan’s First Large-scale All-English Engineering Program
Kyoto University of Advanced Science(KUAS) is a new, internationally-focused university located in Kyoto City, the cultural capital of Japan, a thriving college town, and one of the safest cities in the world.
In April of 2020, KUAS launched its flagship all-English Faculty of Engineering. It’s mission: to create industry-leaders capable of surmounting the diverse technological challenges humanity will face over the next century and beyond.

Support Center
All students can expect exceptional on-campus support in both English and Japanese for matters concerning classes, extracurricular activities, housing, daily needs, career guidance and more from the staff at our “International Office” and “Career Support Center”. Our on-campus International Student Dormitory features multiple student and faculty-led initiatives to acclimate new arrivals to Japan. Furthermore, all international students are provided with intensive Japanese courses as part of their core curriculum.
