[9/30/20 – 10/24/20] Sophia University United Nations Weeks October 2020

Sophia University is going to hold their “United Nations Weeks” from October 6th to 24th.
Started in 2014, Sophia University United Nation Weeks with an aim “to consider our future and the world through the work of the United Nations”, its 14th events will be held in coming October. Due to the pandemic, an event previously planned in June had to be cancelled, however we feel truly fortunate to be made possible bringing an event online this time.
As the UN celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, time now is utmost appropriate to actively discuss how the UN can contribute in tackling the world issues and to consider what all of us can do to support as individuals. And the event being online, to plan the career seminar inviting worldwide renowned guests was enabled.
They are going to deal with various topics such as Symposium “Sustainable Lifestyles for Green Recovery -Covid-19 and the SDGs-” (Oct 6th), “Special Symposium for UN 75 Years’ Anniversary Global Actions for Global Challenges:Pandemic, Global Warming, and Armed Conflicts” (Oct 12th) etc.
Also, Pre-event is going to be held on September 30th.
